    How it works

From the requirement to the evidence

The platform connects what is required with what actually happens in production. Some links are automatic, for example measurements read from a machine; others are your processes, for example who decides on an action.

    1. 01 · Required

      What customers and standards require

Drawings, tolerances and customer requirements on each characteristic.

    2. 02 · Planned

What the process is expected to deliver

Inspections, frequencies and instructions per part.

    3. 03 · Measured

What is actually measured and produced

Values from gauges, measuring machines and machines, with their context.

    4. 04 · Signals

      What deviations and trends reveal

Alarms, trends and capability per characteristic.

    5. 05 · Actions

      What people decide and do

Your organisation decides; events are noted in the logbook.

    6. 06 · Evidence

      What shows the result

Reports and certificates per order, and the history behind them.

    Four areas

Where connected information makes a difference

What each area is about, and what Eyesight contributes today.

    1. Understand performance. Improve decisions.

      The challenge
Quality, stops and cycle times are often followed up in different places. Losses show up after the fact, and decisions rest on an incomplete picture.
      What Eyesight contributes
Measurements, machine status, stops and stop reasons per machine, part and order, with alarms at the tolerance limit and trend analysis. Your people make the decisions, on a shared basis.

      Production follow-up →

    2. Connect information. Understand the whole.

      The challenge
Measuring machines, gauges, machines and business systems each hold part of the picture. When the information is scattered, it takes time to understand what happened to a part or an order.
      What Eyesight contributes
Data from measuring machines, gauges, machines and business systems in one place, with each value linked to part, order, machine and operator. You decide what to connect, and when.

      Connecting your systems →

    3. Stay ready for changing requirements.

      The challenge
Customers and standards keep raising the requirements for inspection, calibration and traceability. Pulling the evidence together afterwards costs time before every audit and customer question.
      What Eyesight contributes
Inspections with instructions, a register for gauges and calibration, traceability per part and order, and reports and certificates. The evidence builds up in the daily work.
      • IATF 16949
      • ISO 13485
      • AS/EN 9100
      • ISO 9001

Eyesight supports the work and the evidence behind standards such as these. Certification depends on your organisation’s processes and an independent audit; Rektron does not certify or guarantee conformity.

    4. Build capabilities for what comes next.

      The challenge
New equipment, new products and new systems will come. When solutions do not fit together, every change turns into a project of its own.
      What Eyesight contributes
A cloud service on Microsoft Azure with open connections via file, database, OPC, TCP/UDP or API, set up through configuration and scripts. A shared foundation to build on as your needs change.

    Beyond control

From controlling quality to improving the business

The platform provides the information and the tools; people make and verify the decisions.

    1. 01 · Establish

      Requirements and a reliable process

People: You decide what must be checked, how often and with which gauges.

The platform provides: Inspection instructions and inspections at the station; gauges in a calibration register.

    2. 02 · Control

      Quality and production every day

People: Operators inspect and react to signals.

The platform provides: Control charts with alarms at the tolerance limit; machine status, stops and reasons.

    3. 03 · Understand

      Variation, losses and recurring problems

People: Quality and production look for causes.

The platform provides: Trends, capability per characteristic and correlation between characteristics.

    4. 04 · Improve

      Prioritise and carry out improvements

People: Management chooses what to do first.

The platform provides: Where the time and the deviations go, per machine, part and order.

    5. 05 · Verify

Show the effect and keep it

People: You check that the change worked and update the standard.

The platform provides: Before and after in the same data; reports and certificates per order.

    Improve business performance

    Fewer losses you cannot explain

Scrap, rework, stops and long investigations cost money and capacity. When quality and production information are connected, it becomes easier to see where the losses come from, decide what to deal with first and check whether the change helped.

    Scrap and rework
Trends and alarms show a drift towards the tolerance limit before parts are outside it.
    Downtime
Stops and stop reasons per machine, part and order show where the time goes.
    Investigation effort
The measurement already carries its part, order, machine and operator, so the history does not have to be pieced together.
    Uneven production
Capability per characteristic and correlation between characteristics show which variation matters.
    Did the change help?
Before and after in the same trend, for the same characteristic and machine.
