Integrations and data collection
Measurement data is only useful if it comes in without detours. Here you can see which types of equipment and systems Rektron connects to, which formats and protocols are used and how data flows.
Data flow
From the source to the decision
Four layers: the equipment in the factory, data collection, the platform and the decisions. Formats, protocols and connected systems are under Technical level.

Who sends what, and what is it used for?
Each type of source sends its own kind of information: measuring machines (CMM) and gauges send measured values, machines and PLCs status and stops, the ERP system parts and orders. What makes the information useful is the context that comes with it, and the decision it finally supports.

Rektron Eyesight
The values are linked to part, characteristic and order and used by every role in the browser.
Formats: AQDEF (dfq), DMIS out (dmo), CSV, TXT, XML, Excel
Results per characteristic from the measuring program in the CMM or vision system.
Kept with it: Part, characteristic, nominal value and tolerances, order and time.
Decision: Whether the part is accepted and whether the process needs adjusting (operator, quality).
The value from a digital gauge, right at the inspection.
Kept with it: Characteristic, limits, gauge and who measured.
Decision: Whether the part is accepted, right at the machine (operator).
Status, cycles and signals from machines, PLCs and sensors.
Kept with it: Machine, time, order and stop reason.
Decision: Where time is lost and what to deal with first (production, engineering).
Parts, orders and planning from the ERP system.
Kept with it: That measured values and stops belong to the right part and order.
Decision: Which orders are affected by a deviation, and what can be shown per order (quality, production).
What we connect to
Systems and equipment
The lists show systems Rektron has already connected to. Other systems that export files or have a database, OPC, TCP/UDP or an API can be connected through configuration or scripts. We go through your equipment together.
Measuring machines and vision systems
Automatic import of results from coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision systems and other advanced measuring systems. Rektron has built connections to the following systems, among others.
- Hexagon PC-DMIS
- Zeiss Calypso
- Wenzel
- Werth
- OGP SmartScope
- LK CAMIO
- Mitutoyo Cosmos
- Tesa Scan
- Quindos
- Automeasure
- Mahr
- Metrolog
- VICI Vision
- MicroStudio
- Pixargus
- Faro
- Instron
- Zoller
- OptoNova QI
- What moves
- Results per characteristic from the measuring program in the CMM or vision system.
- What meaning comes with it
- Part, characteristic, nominal value and tolerances, order and time.
- Which decision it supports
- Whether the part is accepted and whether the process needs adjusting (operator, quality).
Gauges and measuring equipment
Direct input from digital gauges and measuring fixtures, so the value is recorded without typing errors. Values can also be entered with a keyboard.
- Mahr (MarConnect)
- Mitutoyo (Digimatic)
- Sylvac
- Micrometers, callipers, dial indicators
- Measuring fixtures with several probes
Connection: USB, Bluetooth, Interface unit (IBR)
- What moves
- The value from a digital gauge, right at the inspection.
- What meaning comes with it
- Characteristic, limits, gauge and who measured.
- Which decision it supports
- Whether the part is accepted, right at the machine (operator).
Production machines, PLCs and sensors
Signals and process data from production equipment, for example injection moulding and die casting machines, as well as sensors and loggers.
- Injection moulding machines
- Die casting machines
- PLC
- Probes and sensors
- Loggers
Connection: OPC, TCP/IP, UDP, SQL databases, Files
- What moves
- Status, cycles and signals from machines, PLCs and sensors.
- What meaning comes with it
- Machine, time, order and stop reason.
- Which decision it supports
- Where time is lost and what to deal with first (production, engineering).
ERP systems
Parts, orders and planning are fetched from the ERP system so that measured values are linked to the right order. Rektron has built connections to the following systems, among others.
- Monitor (also G5)
- Jeeves
- Pyramid
- Microsoft Dynamics 365
- In-house systems
Connection: API, SQL databases, File transfer
- What moves
- Parts, orders and planning from the ERP system.
- What meaning comes with it
- That measured values and stops belong to the right part and order.
- Which decision it supports
- Which orders are affected by a deviation, and what can be shown per order (quality, production).
Data formats
Standard formats and file formats for importing measurement data.
- AQDEF (dfq)
- DMIS out (dmo)
- CSV
- TXT
- XML
- Excel
- What moves
- Measurement data in known file formats.
- What meaning comes with it
- Characteristics and values with part and measuring program, in a format that is interpreted the same way every time.
- Which decision it supports
- That data from different sources can be compared and used together (quality, IT).
